Finally, something we can all agree on.

Again, SDH....
our tastes converge. One of my all time UNDERRATED shows.

a portion from my initial review: (You need this show) mostly b/c you need to hear the crowd reacting to Garcia's insane guitar licks on LET IT GROW>DEAL, BIG RIVER, and the killer push by Phil at the end of ALTHEA (one of the best ever), and just about anything in the First Set. Jerry just wails on every tune in Set 1 and 2 is no slouch either.

As you pointed out in your post here, the set list looks so ordinary, most people pass this show by...their loss. I'd rather hear a "pedestrian" set list played at A++ level--as this is--than a sloppy show filled w/some unexpected numbers thrown in for an eye candy factor. This is also one of the best AUD recordings you'll ever hear.

Thanks for the "thanks" of this show...best to you and yours on Turkey Day--may your son stay safe...and I'd just add to your list "thankful that the Bruins overcame a 3-7 start and are riding a 9-game winning streak heading into Buffalo tonight."

Can't wait for that B's/Sabres game. Lucic must know the hammer is coming. I haven't been this geeked for a retaliation since Ulf Sammuelson finally had to guts to go back out on the ice to face Cam Neely. It will be ugly early tonight my friends.

Kaleta v. Lucic probably 2 minutes in...

...but you know Shawn Thornton will mix it up w/someone later on...I'm expecting Rask to start tonight...imagine if things really get outta hand & we get a goalie Rask v. Enroth undercard!

(To make this Dead-related how about we put up 5/7/77 Boston Garden's Half-Step>Big River against 5/9/77 Buffalo War Memorial's Help>Slipknot>Franklin's! ;-)

I'd go with Boston garden because of that epic half step. However....throw in that Comes Time from Buffalo and we have a whole new ball game.

I take it you don't live in New England and don't get NESN. I can't stand the play by play/color guys on Versus, but yeah, better than nothing. Don't forget this Friday NBC is showing the home game v. Detroit!

Let's hope the winning streak is still intact...

Yep. Currently enjoying life in my AZ Compound. No NESN. But one huge upside is that when a game IS televised (thanks for the heads-up on the Detroit game), I dont have to stay up to some ungodly hour to watch the whole thing. Getting to watch an entire Monday Night Football game and still be in bed by 9:30 is truly a magical thing.

yeah, i hear that. Here on the east coast I get up at an unholy hour for work and almost any MNF game starting at 8:20pm is out of my reasonable watch-window. Glad the B's start their home night games at 7.

That game Friday btw is a 1pm matinee e.s.t.! Nice opp. to sit and vegetate and let the turkey from day before settle ;-)
